Miami-Dade Area Health Education Center (AHEC), Inc is a private 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that works to ensure that our underserved communities are educated on today’s most critical health topics and have access to quality healthcare. We also strive to recruit and retain qualified healthcare professionals for the South Florida area.

The programs and services we offer are made possible through the generous support and contributions of individuals, private organization and corporations, combined with state and federal funding. Special Events & Featured Programs

	Please come join us for our annual Strike 2 Stay Healthy Bowl-A-Thon Saturday October 11th 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This grassroots campaign will help us raise money to better assist South Florida’s medically underserved communities. So gather your friends and family, help us raise a few dollars and come bowl the night away!

	Miami-Dade AHEC honors Dr. Cheryl Holder, M.D. for her outstanding work by creating an award in her name. This year’s recipient is Dr. Damien Hansra.
